Attending the University Photographers Association of America Symposium in Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah and then the lighting workshop at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah was a transformative experience for me as a photographer. Learning about lighting from, Joe McNally, a renowned photographer during this workshop was particularly impactful; it shifted my understanding of how to use light to enhance the mood and depth of my images. The chance to connect with and learn from other passionate photographers in such an inspiring setting completely revitalized my approach to photography.
